INFORMATION

The Department of Wind Instruments of the Grazyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz University of Music in Lodz would like to invite you to the summer International Horn Masterclass, which will be held on July 7^th–12^th, 2024 (Sunday-Friday) at the Karol Poznanski Palace, University of Music in Lodz at 32 Gdanska Street. The course is aimed at students of music schools, as well as students and graduates of music academies in the specialty of French horn.

Each participant of the course takes part in six common ‘horn warm-ups’ and is guaranteed at least six 45-minute individual lessons covering work on repertoire as well as technical and professional issues.

REGULATIONS

International Horn Masterclass 2024

1. The organizer of the International Horn Masterclass, hereinafter referred to as IHM 2024, is the Department of Wind Instruments of the Grazyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz University of Music in Lodz, hereinafter referred to as the University, and the MikulskiART Foundation, hereinafter referred to as the Foundation. The organizational and content director is Prof. Dariusz Mikulski.
2. The International Horn Masterclass is organized in the French horn specialty.
3. Participants who have not reached the age of 18 may participate in the IHM on condition that they will provide the University, together with the application form, with the written consent of their legal guardian to participate in the classes.
4. The IHM classes will take place from July 7^th to 12^th, 2024 at the Grazyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz University of Music in Lodz.
5. Each participant takes part in six common ‘horn warm-ups’ and is guaranteed six 45-minute individual lessons covering work on repertoire as well as technical and professional issues. The course includes work on excerpts from orchestral studies, chamber music sessions and work with an accompanist, ‘mini’ recitals and musical presentations. All classes are conducted in an open format.
6. Participants are required to guarantee sheet music material for the pianist-accompanist on their own.
7. Participants agree to free photographic, phonographic, or audio-visual recording of classes/concerts with their participation during the IHM for promotional or archival purposes of the University and the Foundation. Participants also consent to the publication of their images on social media.
8. Each participant will receive a certificate of participation in IHM.

   Proof of payment of entry fee for the selected course should be attached to the form.
10. The registration fee for active and passive participants is as follows
    • for active participants – 1 000 PLN (one thousand PLN)
    • for passive participants – 400 PLN (four hundred PLN)
11. The entry fee should be paid to the account:

    • The amount, paid to the account as participation fee, should be exactly the same amount as stated in the regulations.
    • The entry fee covers only the fee for participation in the classes of the course.
    • All costs associated with processing the bank transfer are borne by the participants.
    • The University and the Foundation do not cover the costs of travel, accommodation or meals of the participants.
    • The University and the Foundation does not act as an intermediary in the organization of transportation, accommodation or meals for participants.
12. Sending the form completed and signed by the participant, and in the case of underage participants signed by the legal guardian means acceptance of these rules.
13. In the case of cancellation of the participant’s attendance in the course, the registration fee is not refundable.
14. The number of active participants is limited. Qualification for active participants is determined by the order of applications.

16. Sending a completed and signed by the participant, and in the case of underage participants, signed by the legal guardian, means voluntary consent to the transfer of personal data to the University and the Foundation and consent to the publication of the image in social media. The administrator of the data is the University and the Foundation. The data will be processed only for the necessary organizational support of the course.
